This training aid allows ANY coach or pitcher to throw a Split-Finger, Cutter, Curve or Rising Fastball during batting practice by changing the position of the ball in their hand. Made of a unique blend of durable materials, these balls can withstand thousands of bat strikes! Best of all, it works at all mound distances for any age group.
Anyone that has ever played the game knows that hitting is a crucial part of becoming a better baseball player. Coaching staffs at every skill level also know that baseballs are essential in batting training because they train your eye for real pitches to increase hand-eye coordination. To achieve an incredible wicked curve, the pitcher grips the ball like throwing a two-seam fastball, with flat portion naturally resting against ring finger (see image for proper grip). The arm angle is a natural fastball motion from top to bottom (12-6) with a normal release point for delivery – grip image should replicate delivery angle. The ball will break opposite of flat area.

For a cutter, the pitcher will take a normal fastball grip and shift fingers slightly off center with pointer finger resting above flat portion. The flat spot of the ball is positioned between ring finger and thumb (see image for proper grip). The am angle is a natural fastball motion from top to bottom (12-6) with a normal release point for delivery – grip image should replicate delivery angle. The ball will break opposite of the flat area.

The Split-Finger is an advanced pitch to throw using the Wicked Curve® ball due to an adjustment by the pitcher of delivery arm angle. The pitcher grips the ball like throwing a two-seam fastball. The flat portion rests naturally against ring finger facing upwards at delivery (see image for proper grip and delivery angel). The arm angle and motion are similar to a side-arm pitch – grip image should replicate delivery angle. This type of delivery is necessary to allow the training aid to achieve the desired results for the batter. The ball will break opposite of the flat area.

The Rising Fastball is yet another advanced pitch using the Wicked Curve® ball with an arm angle variation to achieve the delivery effect. The pitcher uses a normal fastball grip with pointer finger resting close to or on the flat portion edge, while thumb rests on opposite edge (see image for proper grip and delivery angle). The arm angle and motion are similar to a side-arm pitch – grip image should replicate delivery angle. This type of delivery is necessary to allow the training aid to achieve the desired results for the batter. The ball will break opposite of the flat area.
